In many of our products the phased array transducer is oriented to scan a 12
degree beam vertically from directly ahead of the vessel to the bottom below.
The vertical scanning mode provides an
 incredible
useful tool to monitor the water's depth directly ahead of the vessel and warn
or hazards or changing bottom conditions.
FORWARD HORIZONTAL SCANNING
See a radar-like picture of the submerged area ahead and to each side of your
boat
The transducer array can also be oriented so that it scans a 12 degree beam
either 90 or 180 degrees horizontal arc.
