Installed in a 9.6" high x 20" diamter radome Multi Channel Modem for Data & Voice The new WaveCall� MCM3 utilizes the latest multi-channel technology, featuring three smart modems running in parallel. The modems respond to demand by activating two or three circuits as required by the data and voice load. Voice and data can be used simultaneously and upload and download speeds are identical. Service is available throughout Globalstar's coverage area. Features include:

For example, only WaveCall offers you SatSpeed�Compression Services to maximize the speeds at which your hardware operates. We also offer you multi-channel modem technology, something no other marine voice and data supplier offers. With the WaveCall� series of products and airtime, mariners can access Internet-at-Sea� services through a simple click of an icon or pick up the phone and call from virtually anywhere in the well-traveled world (coverage map). With this service, surfing the web, e-mail and making phone calls is yours at a very competitive price. A convenient feature in the WaveCall� system is that a customer's ordinary telephone hooks into the antenna equipment exactly the same way it hooks into your home telephone line - with a standard two-wire phone cord. The data connection is just as simple too - no modem or network card is required. Basic configuration of the Windows� operating system allows the computer to access the Globalstar� constellation of 48 low-earth-orbiting satellites (LEOs). Their earth station gateways in North America are equipped with a dedicated high speed Internet connection which allow the customer to use Globalstar as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect to the Internet, or the user can simply log onto his or her existing ISP account.

Globalstar offers dependable and extremely economical solutions to meet the needs of all size marine vessels. From the small pleasure craft to the large cargo or cruise ship, Globalstar provides the connections that ensure the crew and passengers can stay in touch while at sea, beyond the range of either cellular or VHF services.

Globalstar's service areas currently extends over 200 miles or more off virtually all coastal areas in North and South America, Europe, Australia and East Asia. Service has also been expanded to cover virtually the entire North Atlantic and broader reaches of the northeast Pacific, allowing mariners in all these areas access to clear telephone connections or direct Internet connectivity.

	Portable Marine Kits Globalstar mobile satellite phones allow for communications both at sea and on land. The mobile phone can easily be removed from the marine kit and carried on shore, allowing users to rely on just a single handheld wireless unit for all their communications needs. > More
	Fixed Marine Terminals Globalstar fixed terminals are suitable for permanent or semi-permanent installations on larger marine vessels, such as freighters or cruise ships. Such installations provide access to voice and data, and can connect to conventional desk phones or pay phones allowing use by crew and passengers. > More
	Data Communications Globalstar data service can be utilized through mobile or fixed phone units. A laptop PC or Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) can be connected to either, allowing users to send and receive data at 9.6 kbps (uncompressed). Data service allows users to send and receive e-mail, access corporate data networks and Intranets, and browse the web. > More Globalstar also offers Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) data modems that can send and receive data remotely either automatically or on command. This means tankers can check stock levels of oil on board or monitor temperature readings for frozen freight allowing the data to be sent to their respective information centers.
