Cable, strap or rope?

Trailer winches come with cables, ropes, or nylon straps. Cables provide great strength and are very secure. You can also double-line cables, giving you the strongest application, hands-down the best for larger boats. Straps are softer on the hands, yet provide good strength and power for medium and smaller sized boats. Some newer trailer winch models have a small rope instead of cable or strapping, which has been found to be exceedingly strong and weather resistant ? great for float-on trailers.

Why buy 12V?

Manual winches require your physical strength to pull and crank the weight of your boat as it fights gravity and slowly ramps onto the trailer. Slipping and falling, along with pulled and strained muscles, can create physical hazards that can ruin your boating experience.
