The CX series might be connected to all of Simrads radar scanners bye a simple
plug and play cable. Radar software is included. If you also like to use your CX
plotter as a fishfinder, this is done by connecting a transducer and installing
additional software. The fishfinder option might be delivered preinstalled or
you can upgrade your CX equipment with a transducer and software in the future.
The difference
The main difference between CX34, CX44 and CX54 is the size of
the 640 x 480 pixels screens. The screens are based on advanced TFT technology,
giving superior picture also in direct sunlight.
CX 34 with a 7" screen is compact and easy to
install whether you choose bracket mounting or flush mounting.
CX 44 with a 10" screen gives you better
advantage of the split screen options, found on all CX plotters.
CX 54 with a 15" screen is our top of the
line multifunction NavStation suitable for large sail- and motoryachts with
limited dashboard space.
The CX range is delivered with a small and solid DGPS
“mushroom antenna”. Optional antenna solutions are also available. The system is
updated once every second and the accuracy is approximately eight meters. The
pre installed software takes full advantage of the precise and detailed vector
charts from C-Map. Simply slot the card covering several usual papercharts into
the splashproof drawer in front of your CX NavStation. You have the possibility
to zoom or to split the screen to have one picture cover a large area and one
detailed chart. The chart can be overlaid by a radar picture, or you can split
the screen to do charting, radar operation and fishfinding simultaneously.
